Alma is about the ties of community, family, friendships, and the women who share their strength with the people around them. Alexia was inspired by her mother's quiet fortitude and lifelong love of textiles and gardening. The colours in Alma are sunny and warm, but a calm deep blue adds depth to the range of hues. Alexia carved, stamped and painted to create this collection, giving her textiles a handmade quality.
Ruby Star Society cottons are slightly lighter weight than most quilting cottons, making them more versatile for both quilters and garment sewers alike. It has a smooth silky finish and a soft hand.

We sell our fabric in 10cm increments so that you can get exactly what you need. For example, if you would like 1.8m of fabric you will need to select 18 units. Orders of more than one unit will be cut as one continuous length unless requested otherwise.
We work hard to photograph our fabrics in natural light or use our suppliers images but the colours you may see may still differ slightly to the original fabric.
